The laboratory of our group company Colorex
The laboratory described on this page belongs to our group company Colorex in Bursa. Colorex set it up in 2016 through a KOSGEB-supported project; it is equipped for color matching, process additives and quality control testing.
Colorex works with the Chemistry Department of Bursa Uludağ University and the Polymer Engineering Department of Yalova University on R&D. In color work, weighing precision is one milligram. Every incoming sample is given a code and recorded; retained samples from production are kept in a dark room for 5 years for traceability.

- CIE Lab color measurement and color matching (Konica Minolta spectrophotometer and software)
- Visual color comparison in a light booth
- Sample preparation on a laboratory twin-screw extruder and a two-roll mill
- Fast, homogeneous sample preparation with a Gelimat mixer
- Melt flow index (MFI / MVR) determination (ISO 1133)
- Density determination (ISO 1183)
- Inorganic filler content with an ashing furnace (ISO 3451-1)
- Carbon black content by tube furnace and TGA (ISO 6964)
- Dispersion quality by filter pressure value (FPV) testing
- Moisture and volatile content with a moisture analyzer
- Light fastness and weathering tests in UV and xenon aging chambers
- Tensile, elongation and impact (Izod/Charpy) tests

Color and quality checks for Erk-Han orders are carried out in this laboratory. The tests listed above are free of charge for Erk-Han customers.
