Raffia, Lamination & Artificial Grass

rafya-laminasyon

Erk-Han in raffia and lamination

Raffia and woven sack production is one of the largest uses of filler masterbatch. Erk-Han supplies PP raffia, laminated woven fabric and artificial grass producers with EH-FIL filler masterbatch, white masterbatch and UV additives.

Products

What to look for

  • Tape breaks: Agglomerated filler or pigment breaks thin tapes; coated CaCO₃ and good dispersion reduce this risk.
  • Strength: Tape strength falls as the filler ratio rises; the ratio is chosen for the load the sack must carry.
  • Lamination: Adhesion of the coating layer to the fabric depends on how much additive migrates to the surface; this is taken into account in formulations containing slip.

Recommended Dosage

  • In standard raffia and sack productions: 1.0% - 2.0%
  • In lamination and technical textile applications: 1.5% - 3.0%
  • In artificial grass and outdoor weavings requiring high UV resistance: 2.0% - 4.0%

Export

Our plant in Bursa OSB is 30 minutes from Gemlik Port. We ship to Europe, Africa and the Americas under EXW, FCA, FOB, CFR, CIF and DAP, with the CoA, MSDS and TDS in every shipment and the ATR, EUR.1 and certificate of origin where required.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions raffia and lamination producers ask most.

How much filler can be used in raffia?
The recommended range for EH-FIL PP is 10% – 40%. The upper limit depends on tape thickness, stretch ratio and the load the sack will carry.
How can I keep artificial grass from fading in the sun?
A UV stabilizer is used together with the color masterbatch, and pigments with high light fastness are selected. Stating the climate of the target market in your request helps us recommend the ratio.
Will filler cause dusting on the sack?
Uncoated calcite can cause surface dusting. The EH-FIL series uses surface-coated CaCO₃.
How do I request a sample?
Fill in the quotation form with the tape thickness, stretch ratio, PP type and target filler ratio.
