Erk-Han in the textile industry

In synthetic yarn and fiber production, the most important property of a masterbatch is dispersion quality: coarse pigment particles block spinneret holes and melt filters and cause yarn breaks. Erk-Han produces and exports finely dispersed color, white and black masterbatch and UV additives for polypropylene, polyester and polyamide yarn producers.

Applications

  • Spunbond and nonwoven fabrics: Nonwovens for hygiene, agriculture and packaging.
  • Multifilament and fiber: POY/FDY yarn, carpet yarn, staple fiber.
  • Technical textiles: Fabrics used outdoors that need high UV resistance.

What to look for

  • Filter pressure value (FPV): A low FPV extends filter change intervals and reduces line stops.
  • Carrier compatibility: A PET-based carrier is preferred for polyester and a PP-based carrier for polypropylene.
  • Fastness: Pigments with high wash, rub and light fastness are selected.

Recommended Dosage

  • In spunbond and nonwoven fabric applications: 1.0% - 2.5%
  • In multifilament and fiber production: 1.5% - 3.5%
  • In technical textiles requiring high UV resistance and special performance: 2.0% - 4.5%

Export

We ship from our plant in Bursa OSB, 30 minutes from Gemlik Port. The delivery term (EXW, FCA, FOB, CFR, CIF, DAP) and the documents (CoA, MSDS, TDS; ATR, EUR.1 and certificate of origin where required) are clear from the quotation onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions textile producers ask most.

Can masterbatch cause yarn breaks?
Yes, if pigment agglomerates block the spinneret holes. Using a finely dispersed masterbatch with a low FPV and drying the masterbatch before processing reduces this risk.
What causes color streaks in yarn?
Usually uneven dosing. Calibrating the gravimetric doser and using a concentrate with enough color strength keeps the feed uniform.
Can the same masterbatch be used for polyester and polypropylene?
No. The carrier polymer must be compatible with the base polymer: choose a PET carrier for polyester and a PP carrier for polypropylene.
How do I request a color sample?
Send the polymer type, denier and target color through the color matching request form.
Masterbatch is causing yarn breaks during fiber spinning, what is the cause?
Pigment agglomeration (clumping) is likely blocking the spinneret holes; Erk-Han textile series with nanometric dispersion and a low Filter Pressure Value (FPV) should be used, and the masterbatch should be dried at 80°C.
What causes color fluctuation (streaking) in multifilament yarns?
The dosing pump is feeding irregularly; the gravimetric dosing system should be calibrated and feed homogeneity should be ensured using a concentrated masterbatch with high color strength.
